ACSR / Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced

The ACSR cable is a Aluminium conductor steel-reinforced cable, the utility model has the advantages of simple structure, convenient installation and maintenance, low circuit cost, large transmission capacity, favorable laying across rivers and valleys and other special geographical conditions, good electrical conductivity and sufficient mechanical strength, large tensile strength, and the distance between towers and poles can be enlarged. Therefore, it is widely used in various voltage levels of overhead transmission and distribution lines.

ACSR is composed of cold drawn aluminum wire and galvanized steel wire. The galvanized steel wire is used as the core to twist evenly and tightly. The direction of each layer of ACSR is opposite, and the direction of the outer layer of ACSR is right. The twisted steel core is naturally arranged. After the steel core is cut off, the steel core is easy to reset. The same is true for aluminum wire.

ACSR size chart

The advantage of ACSR is that it has a very simple composition, but it has a very powerful function. It can be used in a high voltage frame to ensure the normal operation of voltage output. In some places, the geographical conditions are quite special. For example, in long rivers and high mountains, the stranded wire can maintain a large span without breaking. The appearance of stranded wire reduces the difficulty of installation of high-voltage electric frame. If there is a strong wind force, you don’t worry about being pulled.
